The ACORN team is excited to announce the official start of participant recruitment! In preparation, the team conducted a successful dry run of the entire protocol, with the Chief Investigator, Dr. Ali Mazaheri, stepping in as the pilot participant to ensure everything runs smoothly. It was a great success!

The ACORN study officially adopted into the NIHR portfolio
The ACORN study has been officially adopted into the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) portfolio. Inclusion in the NIHR portfolio not only highlights the potential impact of ACORN but also enhances national recruitment efforts, enabling participation across the UK beyond the Queen Elizabeth Hospital (QE).
